Tuff Pumps "V"
range of vertical turbine, mixed flow bowl type pumps have a niche market
that remains buoyant despite the onset of submersible alternatives.
With long line shafts and
a wide variety of material options available; from a cast iron / bronze
fitted option through to hard metal and duplex stainless steel options,
the end user can benefit from efficient, effective and reliable river,
estuary or tank emptying pumping using standard electric motors or diesel
engine drives mounted above water level.
With impellers and bowls
submerged, the "V" range of pumps have no priming needs and
eliminate submerged motor problems where river or tank levels drop and
submersible motors are exposed to air and tend towards overheating.
Whilst the "V"
range can handle relatively clean or contaminated flow ratesup to 400
cubic metres per hour and pressure heads up to 500 metres, the more
arduous waste water and erosive and / or abrasive effuent duties can
be handled using any combinations of the Tuff Pumps "H", "R",
"P" and "C" pump ranges, thereby making Tuff Pumps
one of the most flexible and far reaching pump ranges on the market
today.
